Where to start? I've been through the USO in airports countless times over a 23 year career, flying from CONUS to OCONUS, garrison to deployment, and combat to convalescence. When it's good, the USO has put food in my empty belly, given me a quiet place to get some shuteye (and end up oversleeping for my flight by 6 hours - I was exhausted), and allowed me to decompress between journeys. At its worst, it is nowhere near me because it's located in a building far, far away from the passenger terminals and there's only one in an airport the size of a small city. Or maybe the food offering is sparse and unhealthy. I mean, I got the same soggy ham sammich and can of Pringles and knock-off soda in Baghdad and Helmand Province. Tray rats would have been an improvement. But the biggest thing I noticed is that similar to other organizations helping military & veterans, they've been slow to evolve with the changing times and needs of their clientele. The good news is that every review that knocks them on this issue can help them improve likewise. So please, USO...keep up with the changes even if you can't anticipate them.

Port Authority Location: Great for young recruits. Needs more locations.
